What are the sort of things you’d expect the most superior Microsoft accredited suppliers to offer a client in this country currently? Patently, the most supreme Gold Partner training tracks certified by Microsoft, supplying a range of options to lead you into a selection of professions with IT.

Maybe you’d like to find advisors with experience of the IT industry, who might give you help to sort out which job role would work for you, and the kind of tasks that are suitable for a person with your personality.

When you’ve chosen the area you want to get into, an appropriate course needs to be selected that’s reflects your skills and abilities. You should expect to be offered a bespoke package for your needs.

Many companies are all about the certification, and avoid focusing on what it’s all actually about – which will always be getting the job or career you want. Always start with the final destination in mind – don’t get hung-up on the training vehicle.

Avoid becoming one of those unfortunate people who choose a training program which looks like it could be fun – and end up with a certification for a career they’ll never really get any satisfaction from.

Take time to understand what your attitude is towards earning potential and career progression, and how ambitious you are. You should understand what will be expected of you, what particular certifications are needed and where you’ll pick-up experience from.

We’d recommend you take guidance from an industry professional before embarking on a learning programme, so you can be sure that a program provides the appropriate skill-set.

The classroom style of learning we remember from school, with books and manuals, is an up-hill struggle for the majority of us. If you’re nodding as you read this, find training programs that are multimedia based.

Our ability to remember is increased when multiple senses are involved – learning experts have been saying this for many years.

Fully interactive motion videos involving demonstration and virtual lab’s will beat books every time. And you’ll find them fun and interesting.

Always insist on a study material demo’ from the training company. The package should contain demo’s from instructors, slideshows and lab’s for you to practice your skills in.

Seek out CD or DVD ROM based materials wherever available. You’re then protected from internet connection failure and issues with signal quality.

The sometimes daunting task of securing your first role in IT can be made easier by some training providers because they offer a Job Placement Assistance programme. Because of the massive need for more IT skills in this country right now, it’s not too important to place too much emphasis on this feature however. It’s actually not as hard as some people make out to get employment as long as you’re correctly trained and certified.

CV and Interview advice and support may be available (if it isn’t, consult one of our sites). Ensure you update that dusty old CV today – not when you’re ready to start work!

You may not have got to the stage where you’ve got to the exam time when you land your first junior support position; however this can’t and won’t happen unless you’ve posted your CV on job sites.

Generally, you’ll receive better results from an independent and specialised local recruitment consultancy than any course provider’s recruitment division, because they’ll know local industry and the area better.

Fundamentally, as long as you put the same commitment into getting a job as into studying, you’re not likely to experience problems. Some trainees curiously conscientiously work through their learning program and just give up once certified and seem to suppose that interviewers know they’re there.

Typically, a new trainee will not know to ask about something of absolutely vital importance – how their company actually breaks down and delivers the courseware sections, and into what particular chunks.

By and large, you will purchase a course staged over 2 or 3 years and receive a module at a time. This sounds logical on one level, until you consider this:

What if you find the order pushed by the company’s salespeople doesn’t suit all of us. You may find it a stretch to finalise all the sections inside their defined time-scales?

To avoid any potential future issues, it’s not unusual for students to make sure that every element of their training is sent immediately, and not in a piecemeal fashion. That means it’s down to you at what speed and in which order you’d like to take your exams.

Because you’re looking at information about Microsoft MCSE’s, you’re most likely in one of these categories: You could be considering a radical change of career to the world of IT, and you’ve discovered a great need for people with the right qualifications. In contrast you’re already a professional – and you need to formalise your skill-set with a qualification such as MCSE.

As you discover more about training colleges, stay away from any that short-change you by failing to up-grade to the latest version from Microsoft. Over time, this will frustrate and cost the student a great deal more due to the fact that they’ve been educated in an outdated MCSE program which will need updating almost immediately.

A computer training organisation’s attention should be on doing the best thing for their clients, and the whole company should care about getting things right. Career study isn’t just about passing exams – the procedure must also be geared towards helping you to decide on the best course of action for you.

We’d all like to believe that our careers will always be secure and the future is protected, but the growing likelihood for most jobs in England right now seems to be that security may be a thing of the past.

We could however reveal market-level security, by searching for high demand areas, coupled with work-skill shortages.

The computing Industry skills shortfall in the United Kingdom currently stands at approximately twenty six percent, as shown by the latest e-Skills survey. Basically, we can only fill three out of 4 positions in IT.

This fundamental idea clearly demonstrates the urgent need for more technically accredited IT professionals around the United Kingdom.

With the market evolving at the speed it is, could there honestly be a better sector worth looking at for a new career.

Far too many companies are all about the certification, and forget the reasons for getting there – which will always be getting the job or career you want. Your focus should start with where you want to get to – don’t make the vehicle more important than the destination.

It’s common, in many cases, to obtain tremendous satisfaction from a year of studying and then spend 20 miserable years in a career that does nothing for you, as a consequence of not performing some decent due-diligence when you should’ve – at the outset.

Be honest with yourself about the income level you aspire to and how ambitious you are. Often, this changes which accreditations will be required and what’ll be expected of you in your new role.

Have a conversation with a skilled professional who understands the work you’re contemplating, and could provide detailed descriptions of what you’re going to be doing in that job. Establishing this well before you start on any retraining path has obvious benefits.

Incorporating examinations upfront and presenting it as a guarantee for your exams is common for a number of training colleges. But look at the facts:

It’s become essential these days that we’re a little bit more aware of sales ploys – and the majority of us ought to know that for sure it is something we’re paying for – they’re not just being charitable and doling out freebies!

Evidence shows that when students fund their relevant examinations, one after the other, they’ll be in a better position to get through on the first attempt – because they’ll be conscious of what they’ve paid and so will prepare more thoroughly.

Do the examinations as locally as possible and go for the best offer you can find when you’re ready.

Is there a good reason to pay interest on a bigger loan than is necessary because you’ve paid early for exams when you don’t need to? Huge profits are made by companies charging upfront for all their exams – and then cashing in when they’re not all taken.

Remember, with ‘Exam Guarantees’ from most places – you are not in control of when you can re-take the exam. They’ll only allow a re-take once completely satisfied.

VUE and Prometric examinations are approximately 112 pounds in Great Britain. Why pay exorbitant ‘Exam Guarantee’ costs (often hidden in the cost) – when good quality study materials, the proper support and commitment, effort and practice with quality exam preparation systems are the factors that really get you through.

Commercial qualifications are now, most definitely, taking over from the traditional routes into the IT industry – but why should this be?

As demand increases for knowledge about more and more complex technology, industry has had to move to the specialised training that can only be obtained from the actual vendors – namely companies such as Microsoft, CISCO, Adobe and CompTIA. Often this saves time and money for the student.

Clearly, a reasonable portion of relevant additional knowledge needs to be learned, but precise specialisation in the required areas gives a commercially trained student a real head start.

It’s rather like the advert: ‘It does what it says on the tin’. Employers simply need to know what they need doing, and then match up the appropriate exam numbers as a requirement. That way they can be sure they’re interviewing applicants who can do the job.

There are a range of options in existence for people who’d like to get into working with computers. To hit upon one you’ll be happy with, search for companies with advisors who can help you find an ideal career for your character, and give you an understanding of the job responsibilities, to help you clearly understand whether it’s the right one for you.

Should you be thinking of becoming more IT literate, maybe with some office user skills, or even becoming an IT professional, you can choose from many training options.

By using modern training methods and keeping costs to a minimum, you’ll soon become familiar with a new style of training company offering a better quality of computer training and back-up for a fraction of the prices currently charged.

OK, why should we consider commercially accredited qualifications as opposed to the usual academic qualifications taught at the state educational establishments?

Industry now recognises that for mastery of skill sets for commercial use, certified accreditation from the likes of Microsoft, CISCO, Adobe and CompTIA is far more effective and specialised – for much less time and money.

Patently, an appropriate quantity of background detail must be covered, but essential specialised knowledge in the required areas gives a commercially educated person a distinct advantage.

Put yourself in the employer’s position – and you required somebody who had very specific skills. Which is the most straightforward: Trawl through reams of different degrees and college qualifications from various applicants, trying to establish what they know and what vocational skills they’ve acquired, or choose particular accreditations that perfectly fit your needs, and make your short-list from that. You’ll then be able to concentrate on getting a feel for the person at interview – rather than establishing whether they can do a specific task.

Beginning with the understanding that we have to find the employment that excites us first and foremost, before we’re able to ponder what career development program fulfils our needs, how do we decide on the right direction?

Because in the absence of any commercial background in the IT industry, in what way could we be expected to know what any job actually involves?

Often, the key to unlocking this problem correctly flows from a deep conversation around some important points:

* The type of personality you have and interests – the sort of work-centred jobs you love or hate.

* Why you want to consider moving into the IT industry – is it to conquer a particular goal such as being your own boss for example.

* How important is salary to you – is it of prime importance, or is enjoying your job a little higher on your priority-list?

* Often, trainees don’t consider the level of commitment required to achieve their goals.

* Having a cold, hard look at how much time and effort that you’re going to put into it.

In actuality, your only option to gain help on these matters will be via a meeting with an experienced advisor who has years of experience in computing (and more importantly it’s commercial needs.)

The old fashioned style of teaching, utilising reference manuals and books, is an up-hill struggle for the majority of us. If all this is ringing some familiar bells, check out study materials which have a majority of interactive, multimedia parts.

We see a huge improvement in memory retention when multiple senses are involved – educational experts have expounded on this for many years.

Courses are now available in disc format, where your computer becomes the centre of your learning. Using video-streaming, you can watch instructors demonstrating how it’s all done, and then have a go at it yourself – in a virtual lab environment.

Every company that you look at must be pushed to demo samples of their courseware. Expect video tutorials, instructor led classes and a variety of interactive modules.

Often, companies will only use just online versions of their training packages; while you can get away with this much of the time, consider what happens if your access to the internet is broken or you only get very a very slow connection sometimes. A safer solution is the provision of DVD or CD discs which don’t suffer from these broadband issues.

It’s essential to have an authorised exam preparation system included in the package you choose.

Be sure that your practice exams are not just posing the correct questions on the right subjects, but ask them in the exact format that the real exams will pose them. It completely unsettles students if they’re met with completely different formats and phraseologies.

Be sure to have some simulated exam questions so you can verify your comprehension whenever you need to. Mock exams log the information in your brain – so the real thing isn’t quite as scary.

Congratulate yourself that you’ve already got this far! Only one in ten folks are happy and satisfied by their jobs, but the majority simply moan about it and that’s it. Because you’ve done research we have a hunch that you’re giving retraining some thought, which means you’re already ahead of the pack. What comes next is discover where you want to go and get going.

We suggest that you discuss your ideas first – talk to someone who’s familiar with your chosen field; a guide who can really get to know you and find the best job role for you, and then show you the career tracks you may be suited to:

* Do you like to work collaborating with people? Would that be with a small ‘tightly-knit’ team or with a lot of new people? It could be working by yourself in isolation could suit you better?

* What thoughts are fundamental with regard to the industry you’ll work in?

* Would you like this to be a one off time that you’ll have to retrain?

* Do you think being qualified will give you the opportunity to discover new employment possibilities, and remain in employment until you wish to retire?

Pay attention to the IT industry, it will be well worth your time – it’s one of the only growing market sectors throughout Europe. Salaries are also more generous than most.

Without a doubt: There really is very little evidence of individual job security now; there’s only industry or sector security – any company is likely to drop any single member of staff whenever it meets the business’ business requirements.

It’s possible though to reveal security at the market sector level, by looking for high demand areas, tied with a lack of qualified workers.

The Information Technology (IT) skills deficit throughout the country falls in at approx 26 percent, as noted by a recent e-Skills analysis. It follows then that for each 4 job positions in existence throughout computing, companies can only source trained staff for 3 of the 4.

Gaining in-depth commercial Information Technology accreditation is therefore a ‘Fast Track’ to a long-term as well as gratifying line of work.

Actually, retraining in Information Technology during the years to come is almost definitely the safest career choice you could ever make.

Many people question why traditional degrees are being overtaken by more commercial qualifications?

Corporate based study (as it’s known in the industry) is far more effective and specialised. Industry has acknowledged that specialisation is necessary to service the demands of an increasingly more technical commercial environment. Adobe, Microsoft, CISCO and CompTIA are the big boys in this field.

In a nutshell, only that which is required is learned. It’s slightly more broad than that, but the principle remains that students need to cover the precise skills needed (with some necessary background) – without attempting to cover a bit about everything else (as academia often does).

If an employer is aware what areas need to be serviced, then they simply need to advertise for the exact skill-set required to meet that need. The syllabuses are set to meet an exact requirement and don’t change between schools (in the way that degree courses can).

Commencing from the viewpoint that it makes sense to home-in on the employment that excites us first, before we can even mull over what training program fulfils our needs, how can we choose the correct route?

Consequently, if you don’t have any background in the IT market, how can you expect to know what a particular IT employee does each day? Let alone arrive at which training route will be most suitable for a successful result.

Reflection on these factors is imperative if you want to reveal a solution that suits you:

* Your hobbies and interests – often these highlight what possibilities will provide a happy working life.

* Why it seems right starting in computing – maybe you’d like to conquer a long-held goal such as firing your boss and working for yourself maybe.

* What salary and timescale requirements that are important to you?

* Often, trainees don’t consider the level of commitment expected to gain all the necessary accreditation.

* Our advice is to think deeply about the level of commitment that you will set aside for your training.

For most people, considering each of these concepts tends to require the help of someone who can investigate each area with you. And not just the qualifications – you also need to understand the commercial needs and expectations also.

The way a programme is physically sent to you is usually ignored by most students. How many stages do they break the program into? And in what sequence and at what speed is it delivered?

Most companies will sell you a program typically taking 1-3 years, and courier the materials in pieces as you finish each section. This sounds reasonable until you consider the following:

What if you don’t finish all the sections or exams? Maybe the prescribed order won’t suit you? Through no fault of your own, you mightn’t complete everything fast enough and not get all the study materials as a result.

Ideally, you want ALL the study materials up-front – meaning you’ll have all of them for the future to come back to – as and when you want. You can also vary the order in which you complete each objective as and when something more intuitive seems right for you.

When you decide upon a computer course or training it’s essential that the certification you will gain is up to date with industries needs. Additionally, you should make sure that your training will suit you, and is pitched at the right level.

Should you be thinking of advancing your technological abilities, maybe by improving your office user skills, or even becoming an IT professional, you have a choice of how to study.

With such a range of low cost, easily understood training and support, we’re confident you’ll find something that will take you to your destination.

One crafty way that training companies make a big mark-up is by charging for exams up-front and presenting it as a guarantee for your exams. It looks like a good deal, but is it really:

It’s become essential these days that we have to be a tad more knowledgeable about sales gimmicks – and generally we realise that of course it is something we’re paying for – it’s not because they’re so generous they want to give something away!

Qualifying on the first ‘go’ is what everyone wants to do. Taking your exams progressively one by one and paying for them just before taking them sees you much better placed to get through first time – you take it seriously and are aware of the costs involved.

Why pay the training course provider up-front for examination fees? Go for the best offer at the appropriate time, instead of paying a premium – and sit exams more locally – rather than possibly hours away from your area.

Huge profits are netted by a significant number of organisations who get money for exam fees in advance. For various reasons, many students don’t take their exams and so they pocket the rest. Surprising as it sounds, there are providers who actually bank on it – and that’s how they increase their profits.

It’s worth noting, with most ‘Exam Guarantees’ – you are not in control of when you can do your re-takes. You will have to demonstrate an excellent pass-rate before they’ll approve a re-take.

Due to typical VUE and Prometric exams coming in at approximately 112 pounds in Great Britain, by far the best option is to pay for them as you take them. It’s not in the student’s interests to fork out hundreds or thousands of pounds for exams when enrolling on a course. Consistent and systematic learning, coupled with quality exam simulation software is what will really see you through.

You should remember: the training itself or an accreditation isn’t the end-goal; the job or career that you want to end up in is. Too many training companies place too much importance on the qualification itself.

Avoid becoming part of that group who set off on a track that on the surface appears interesting – and end up with a certification for something they’ll never enjoy.

You need to keep your eye on where you want to get to, and formulate your training based on that – don’t do it the other way round. Keep on track and begin studying for an end-result you’ll enjoy for years to come.

All students are advised to chat with a skilled professional before they embark on a training course. This is required to ensure it features what is required for the career that is sought.

There is a tidal wave of change about to hit technology as we approach the second decade of the 21st century – and the industry becomes more ground-breaking every year.

Many people are of the opinion that the technological advancement that’s been a familiar part of our recent lives is easing off. This couldn’t be more wrong. Terrific advances are ahead of us, and the internet significantly will become an increasingly dominant part of our lives.

A usual IT worker in the UK will also receive significantly more money than employees on a par in other market sectors. Standard IT remuneration packages are some of the best to be had nationwide.

The need for appropriately qualified IT professionals is guaranteed for the significant future, thanks to the continuous development in this sector and the massive deficiency that we still have.

A so-called advisor who doesn’t ask many questions – the likelihood is they’re just trying to sell you something. If they wade straight in with a specific product before looking at your personality and current experience level, then you know it’s true.

With a little live experience or certification, it may be that your starting point of study is not the same as someone new to the industry.

Where this will be your initial stab at IT study then you might also want to cut your teeth on some basic Microsoft package and Windows skills first.

PC and network support workers are more and more sought after in the UK, as institutions have come to depend on their technical advice and capacity to solve problems. The need for increasing numbers of skilled and qualified individuals multiplies, as human beings become significantly more beholden to PC’s in today’s environment.

There are colossal changes coming via technology in the near future – and it becomes more and more thrilling each day.

Technological changes and interaction via the web is going to dramatically change our lives over the coming years; profoundly so.

Should lifestyle be way up on your scale of wants, then you’ll appreciate the fact that the average salary for a typical IT worker is considerably more than with other market sectors.

There is a great nationwide demand for certified IT specialists. Also, as growth in the industry shows little sign of contracting, it seems there’s going to be for years to come.

Watch out that all qualifications you’re working towards will be commercially viable and are bang up to date. Training companies own certificates are often meaningless.

Only nationally recognised certification from companies such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Adobe and Cisco will open the doors to employers.

With all the options available, is it any wonder that a large percentage of trainees don’t really understand the best career path they should even pursue.

How can we possibly grasp the tasks faced daily in an IT career when it’s an alien environment to us? Most likely we don’t even know anybody who does that actual job anyway.

To work through this, a discussion is necessary, covering a number of core topics:

* Your hobbies and interests – often these define what things you’ll get the most enjoyment out of.

* Do you want to get certified because of a specific raison d’etre – for instance, are you pushing to work based from home (self-employment possibly?)?

* Is salary further up on your priority-list than some other areas.

* Looking at the many markets that computing encapsulates, you’ll need to be able to see the differences.

* You need to appreciate the differences between each individual training area.

To be honest, you’ll find the only real way to gain help on these matters is through a chat with a professional that has years of experience in computing (and chiefly the commercial needs and requirements.)

It’s important to understand: a actual training program or an accreditation isn’t the end-goal; a job that you want is. A lot of colleges seem to put too much weight in the certificate itself.

It’s possible, for example, to find immense satisfaction in a year of study and then find yourself trapped for decades in something completely unrewarding, as a consequence of not performing some decent due-diligence when it was needed – at the start.

It’s well worth a long chat to see what expectations industry may have of you. What precise accreditations you’ll need and how to gain experience. You should also spend a little time assessing how far you’d like to build your skill-set as it will control your selection of accreditations.

Take guidance from an experienced industry advisor, even if you have to pay a small fee – it’s usually much cheaper and safer to investigate at the start whether your choices are appropriate, instead of finding out after several years of study that you aren’t going to enjoy the job you’ve chosen and now need to go back to square one.

As you’re looking to study to get an MCSE, you’ll fall into one of two camps. You’re either just starting to come into the computer world, as it’s apparent the industry has a huge demand for qualified people. Instead you are perhaps a knowledgeable person attempting to consolidate your skill-set with a qualification such as MCSE.

When looking into training providers, ensure that you don’t use those who reduce their costs by not upgrading their courses to the latest level of Microsoft development. This is no use to the trainee their knowledge will be of the wrong MCSE version which doesn’t fall in with the current exam syllabus, so it could be impossible for them to pass.

A training provider’s focus must be centred on the absolute best they can for their trainees, and everyone involved should have a passion for their results. Working towards an MCSE isn’t simply about qualifications – the process must also include assisting you in working on the best action plan for your future.

Don’t accept anything less than the very latest Microsoft (or relevant organisation’s) authorised simulation materials and exam preparation packages.

Steer clear of relying on unauthorised preparation materials for exams. Their phraseology is sometimes startlingly different – and often this creates real issues when the proper exam time arrives.

As you can imagine, it is really important to know that you’ve thoroughly prepared for your commercial exam prior to doing it. Practicing ‘mock’ tests adds to your knowledge bank and will avoid you getting frustrated with unsuccessful attempts at exams.

The classroom style of learning we remember from school, involving piles of reference textbooks, can be pretty hard going sometimes. If this describes you, check out study materials which have a majority of interactive, multimedia parts.

If we’re able to utilise all of our senses into our learning, our results will often be quite spectacular.

You can now study via interactive discs. Instructor-led tutorials will mean you’ll learn your subject via their teaching and demonstrations. Then you test your knowledge by utilising the practice lab’s and modules.

All companies must be able to demonstrate samples of their courseware. You should hope for instructor-led videos and many interactive sections.

Some companies only have access to online training only; and although this is okay the majority of the time, think what will happen if you lose your internet access or you get intermittent problems and speed issues. It’s preferable to have physical CD or DVD discs that removes the issue entirely.

When did you last consider how safe your job is? Typically, this isn’t an issue until we get some bad news. But in today’s marketplace, the painful truth is that our job security doesn’t really exist anymore, for the vast majority of people.

It’s possible though to hit upon security at the market sector level, by searching for high demand areas, mixed with a shortage of skilled staff.

Offering the computer industry for example, the last e-Skills survey demonstrated a skills gap throughout the country in excess of 26 percent. Accordingly, out of each 4 positions in existence in the computer industry, organisations can only source enough qualified individuals for three of them.

This one truth on its own shows why the United Kingdom desperately needs many more trainees to become part of the IT sector.

While the market is expanding at the speed it is, could there honestly be a better sector worth considering as a retraining vehicle.

One area often overlooked by people mulling over a new direction is the concept of ‘training segmentation’. This is essentially how the program is broken down into parts to be delivered to you, which completely controls how you end up.

Often, you will join a program that takes between and 1 and 3 years and receive one element at a time until graduation. This sounds logical on one level, until you consider this:

Students often discover that their training company’s ’standard’ path of training isn’t as suitable as another. Sometimes, varying the order of study will be far more suitable. Could it cause problems if you don’t get everything done in the allotted time?

To be honest, the very best answer is to have their ideal ‘order’ of training laid out, but get everything up-front. Meaning you’ve got it all should you not complete it within their ideal time-table.

Network and computer support workers are constantly sought after in Great Britain, as companies are becoming more reliant upon their knowledge and capacity to solve problems. The world’s need for those people is constantly growing, as everything becomes significantly more computer dependent.

Many companies are all about the certification, and completely miss what you actually need – which is a commercial career or job. Your focus should start with the final destination in mind – don’t make the journey more important than where you want to get to.

It’s unfortunate, but a great many students commence training that sounds great from the syllabus guide, but which provides the end-result of a job that is of no interest. Just ask several college students for a real eye-opener.

It’s essential to keep your focus on what it is you’re trying to achieve, and create a learning-plan from that – don’t do it back-to-front. Keep on track and study for something you’ll enjoy for years to come.

You’d also need help from an advisor who understands the industry you think may suit you, and who can offer ‘A typical day in the life of’ explanation for that career-path. This is of paramount importance as you’ll need to fully understand if this change is right for you.

For the most part, a everyday IT hopeful doesn’t have a clue what way to go about starting in a computing career, or which market is worth considering for retraining.

Because in the absence of any commercial skills in IT, how should we possibly know what a particular job actually consists of?

Getting to an informed conclusion really only appears via a careful investigation across many varying areas:

* Which type of individual you are – the tasks that you enjoy, and don’t forget – what makes you unhappy.

* Are you driven to obtain training for a specific raison d’etre – i.e. is it your goal to work at home (self-employment?)?

* How highly do you rate salary – is it very important, or is day-to-day enjoyment a little higher on your priority-list?

* Some students don’t fully understand the energy involved to achieve their goals.

* You’ll also need to think hard about the amount of time and effort that you will set aside for the accreditation program.

In actuality, the only way to research these matters will be via a meeting with someone who understands computing (and chiefly it’s commercial needs.)

A lot of students think that the tech college or university system is the way they should go. So why then are commercially accredited qualifications beginning to overtake it?

With fees and living expenses for university students climbing ever higher, plus the IT sector’s growing opinion that vendor-based training is closer to the mark commercially, there’s been a dramatic increase in Microsoft, CISCO, Adobe and CompTIA authorised training paths that create knowledgeable employees at a fraction of the cost and time involved.

Higher education courses, as a example, clog up the training with a lot of background study – with much too broad a syllabus. Students are then held back from learning the core essentials in sufficient depth.

Imagine if you were an employer – and you needed to take on someone with a very particular skill-set. What’s the simplest way to find the right person: Go through a mass of different academic qualifications from hopeful applicants, having to ask what each has covered and which vocational skills they’ve mastered, or pick out specific commercial accreditations that perfectly fit your needs, and draw up from that who you want to speak to. You’ll then be able to concentrate on getting a feel for the person at interview – instead of long discussions on technical suitability.

Many students come unstuck over one aspect of their training which is often not even considered: The way the training is divided into chunks and sent out to you.

You may think that it makes sense (with a typical time scale of 1-3 years to pass all the required exams,) for your typical trainer to courier one section at a time, as you complete each part. However:

Students often discover that their providers standard order of study isn’t ideal for them. They might find it’s more expedient to use an alternative order of study. And what happens if they don’t finish inside of the expected timescales?

The ideal solution is to have all the learning modules couriered to you immediately; the entire thing! This prevents any future issues from rising that will affect your progress.
